What to Read Next

Bella heads to Willow's room and is stunned to find her in bed with Alex. Willow begs Bella to get rid of Colby, and to not mention Alex. Bella sends Colby packing and then Willow ushers Alex out. The next morning, Bella fires question after question at Willow regarding Alex. Willow feels completely overwhelmed and snaps at Bella.

Alex is hurt when she learns that Willow was unwilling to talk to Bella about their relationship. Willow apologises for not handling Bella better, but this is new to her. Alex insists she's not asking Willow to come out to the whole world. However, since Bella already knows about them, she doesn't understand the harm in answering a few questions.

Willow concedes Alex is right and goes to speak to Bella. As Willow talks about Alex, it's clear to Bella how much Willow has fallen for Alex. When Willow explains to Bella that she's not ready to tell Colby or Dean about Alex, Bella reassures her that they'll be fine as long as Willow's happy. Despite Bella's reassurances, Willow just isn't ready yet.

Later, after Alex admits how badly she wants their relationship to work, Willow has a change of heart. She tells Alex she wants them to work too and that's why she has decided to tell her family about them.

Meanwhile, Colby heads to Salt to see Mackenzie, but is met with a frosty reception. Mackenzie insists he can't ignore her for four days and expect all will be forgiven. Colby is apologetic and tries to justify his behaviour, but Mackenzie isn't budging. Colby won't give up on Mackenzie without a fight. He heads to Salt, determined to find out why Mac said no to his dinner invitation. Mackenzie insists she knows he's only there because Bella doesn't need him at the moment.

Mackenzie makes it clear that she's not something that Colby can just kick to the side and then pick up again when he feels like it. Mackenzie understands now that Colby's family will always come first and that's fine. He made his decision – he should stick to it and leave her alone.

Elsewhere, following their kiss in the store room moments earlier, things are fun and playful as Ryder loiters at the bar, flirting with Jade. Jade orders him to go home and get some sleep. Ryder does as he's told, but only after he has guaranteed that he and Jade will catch up later. Ryder returns home and is sprung upon by Roo, who has put two and two together and concluded that Ryder has a new love interest in Jade.

The next day, as Ryder and Jade stand propped at Jade's open caravan door, Ryder suddenly turns awkward. He wants to sleep with Jade but doesn't want to presume that's what she's suggesting. Ryder's nerves stop him from picking up on the obvious signals Jade is sending him. Instead he rambles on about catching up soon. Jade heads inside, leaving Ryder ruing his missed opportunity.

Also today, Alf and Martha are in a better place, with their recent bickering behind them for now. Alf is determined to make sure Martha's transition to living in the Bay is a happy one and he's doing everything he can to make her comfortable. He's constantly checking on her and hovering nearby, even skipping work to stay by her side. His actions, while well-intentioned, grate on Martha and the bickering returns.

Martha orders Alf to stop mollycoddling her. Roo interrupts before things escalate into a full-blown argument and talks to Alf privately. She reminds him that Martha chose to move here because she loves him. Alf understands what Roo's getting at – if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
