What to Read Next
Having reconciled their differences, Jasmine and Robbo are in a good place, with Jasmine taking on more responsibility with Grace. After learning of Bella's vaccination issues, Robbo overreacts when Grace won't stop crying, believing that she might have caught something. Unwilling to listen to Jasmine's assurances that Grace isn't showing any symptoms that would insinuate illness, Robbo works himself up and races off to the hospital to see a doctor. This is much to the chagrin of Jasmine, a paediatric nurse.
Later, having returned from the hospital, Robbo is being forced to apologise for overreacting and not listening to his wife. Jasmine is sympathetic to Robbo's overprotectiveness and believes some of his anxiety stems from his upcoming testimony at Des's trial.
Jasmine heads to the diner to get food and mentions to Irene how much better they're doing as a couple. After returning from the diner, Jasmine discovers Robbo has passed out from the exhaustion of parenthood. When Grace starts to get restless, Jasmine decides to let Robbo sleep a little longer and takes her for a walk.
Robbo, having awoken from nightmares about Des, freaks out when he realises Jasmine and Grace aren't home. Robbo finds them in the park and scolds Jasmine for leaving the house without him. Things aren't as good as Jasmine would have hoped…
Meanwhile, following her fight with Dean, Ziggy confides in her parents. Believing that Dean is in the wrong, Ziggy refuses to call him to apologise. Ben and Maggie are sympathetic to Dean and feel that this whole thing would have been avoided if she had just talked to him in the first place. Taking this on board, Ziggy heads over to Dean's place and apologises for not telling him first. Dean admits he overreacted, and the two of them discuss it like adults.
Dean is rocked to learn that if the trial is successful, Ziggy will get a one-year contract that will cause her to leave the Bay. Ziggy asks Dean what she should do, as it's his choice too and that she won't make any decision without his blessing. Dean doesn't miss a beat and tells her to stay – he doesn't want her to go. Ziggy smiles and happily agrees, leaving Dean feeling selfish.
Later, Ziggy informs Ben and Maggie of her decision not to go do the trial. Although Ziggy appears happy about her choice, Ben and Maggie aren't so certain. Maggie finds Dean down at the beach and scolds him for being so selfish. She warns him that stopping Ziggy from pursuing her dreams now could lead to her resenting him down the track. Maggie asks Dean to do right by Ziggy like she is always done right by him.
Dean goes to the garage and overhears Ben talking to Ziggy about how much she will miss this opportunity if she doesn't go. Dean, now fully guilt-ridden, tells Ziggy to do the trial – it's a once in a lifetime opportunity. Ben and Maggie are happy with their meddling.
Ziggy surprises everyone when she announces she's leaving right now to go do the trial. Ben heads over to Dean's place to invite him over for dinner, but Dean is upset about Ziggy leaving and lets it slip that it won't take long for Ziggy to realise she can find someone better. Ben tries and fails to lift Dean's spirits. Will Dean turn out to be right?
Elsewhere, Marilyn and John take turns in making a fuss over Martha moving in with Alf. Not wanting to make a big deal, Alf downplays it, but John is not willing to let it go and announces they need to throw a big housewarming party. Alf does his best to put the kibosh on it, but John and Marilyn power through his objections and are now in full party preparation mode.
