Home and Away: Ziggy considers leaving the Bay

Ziggy is offered a dream opportunity – to trial as a mechanic for a pit crew team. The only problem is that, if she lands the job, it will mean leaving the Bay.

Ziggy tries to talk to Dean but can't summon the courage to tell him her news. When Maggie and Ben accidentally reveal Ziggy's opportunity to Dean, he is upset that Ziggy kept him in the dark. Will Ziggy take the trial?

Meanwhile, Colby is apologetic after Bella kicks Mackenzie out of her room, but he states that Bella has just had six immunisation injections and she should cut her some slack. Mackenzie thinks that she's just being rude. The impasse between them gets worse when Mackenzie wistfully states that she shouldn't have come to the hospital and Colby agrees with her, prompting Mackenzie to storm off in a huff.

Back in the Bay, Mackenzie tells Willow all about the metaphorical car crash that unfolded with Bella. Willow agrees that Bella can be manipulative and convinces Mac once again to give them some space. Will Mac listen?

Later, when Alex tries to discharge Bella, she refuses, claiming that the hospital is the only place where people will believe she's sick. Colby promises to not leave her side no matter where she is. Bella eventually arrives at Irene's place, but she arcs up when Colby tries to escape. Bella leans on Colby, manipulating him into staying by her side.

When Willow questions Bella's motives, Colby's guilt surfaces and he blows up at her – he should have believed Bella was sick in the first place, he feels like a terrible guardian, and right now Bella comes first.

While Bella is occupied with Irene, Willow suggests to Colby that he takes this chance to go and smooth things over with Mac. Colby likes that idea and sends her a text. Sensing Colby may head off, Bella once again manipulates Colby and reminds him that he promised not to leave. Colby cancels on Mackenzie and she is once again hurt by his rejection.

Meanwhile, having reprimanded Mason earlier about prying into her private life, Alex tries to extend the olive branch, but Mason stays completely professional. When Willow learns that Alex reacted to Mason's hospital gossip about their relationship, she's flattered. Alex does a Freudian slip and calls Willow her girlfriend.

Although embarrassed, Alex is pleased when Willow says she likes it and the two plan a date for tonight as girlfriends. But Willow is forced to cancel when Bella comes to stay at Irene's place. Alex realises she was harsh on Mason and apologises to him. The two realise they were both coming from different directions but with the same intent and they're willing to move past it.
