Having stayed by her hospital bed all night, Colby is awoken by a much healthier and happier-looking Bella. However, when Alex and Mason arrive to discuss Bella's vaccination schedule, she becomes withdrawn and tries to negotiate alternative options. Colby, sensing Bella's fear, offers to take the day off work to support her.
In private, Mason confers with Alex. With Bella only just about to receive her first vaccinations, it would be dangerous for her to be living with Grace. Willow soon arrives, lifting Bella's spirits.
When Mason goes to ready Bella for her first vaccination, Bella – using Willow as an excuse – tries to postpone. Willow and Colby manage to steady her, but when Mason mentions that she can't live in the same house as Grace for the next couple of weeks, Bella refuses to be vaccinated as she won't be away from Colby.
Mason urges Alex to help get Bella on side. Alex explains that until she's vaccinated, she can't be around Grace. Willow informs Bella she can stay at hers for the time being. However, Bella remains obstinate, prompting Willow to put Bella in her place. Cowed, Bella agrees.
Later, Mac calls and is ignored by Colby. Still feeling guilty, Colby decides to stay by Bella's side rather than answer the phone. Returning to Salt, Willow informs Mackenzie that Bella has taken her first round of vaccinations and is doing much better. Willow strongly cautions Mackenzie against going to visit.
Unfortunately, Mackenzie does not take this good advice on board and arrives at the hospital shortly after. Colby diplomatically tells Mackenzie that now isn't a great time, while Bella yells that she wants her out now. How will Mackenzie fix this?
Meanwhile, Alf and Martha are feeling vexed, having tried and failed to get Roo and Ryder together to tell them Martha is moving back home. Not wanting to wait any longer, the two deliciously conspire to tell them over a home cooked breakfast. Unfortunately, Roo and Ryder won't stop arguing about bacon. When Justin and Leah arrive suddenly to start moving Leah's stuff out, Alf can't take it anymore and blurts out that Martha is moving in, leaving Roo stunned.
Later, Roo checks in with her parents that living together is what they want. Alf and Martha reassure her, stating they haven't felt this good about life and their family in a long time. In that case, Roo is happy to have her parents' relationship moving forward, and although sad about Leah moving out, is happy for her too.
Soon afterwards, Alf and Martha see Jade come out of her caravan. Being friendly, Martha tries to engage with a wave and a hello. However, somewhat forebodingly, Jade blanks their niceties. Martha takes a little more stock of that than Alf and the two walk off just in time to miss a half-naked guy stroll out of Jade's caravan.
Back at home, Martha skilfully extracts information about Jade from Ryder, who appears quite smitten with his new friend. At Salt, Jade tells Ryder that he missed out on a wicked night of drinking and dancing at the new place in Yabbie Creek. Jade pointedly mentions that even the bartender has some wicked moves. Ryder appears a little jealous but is optimistic when Jade invites him to go back tonight after she finishes work. Is Ryder mistaking luck with misfortune?
Elsewhere, having witnessed several flirtatious moments between Willow and Alex, Mason puts two and two together and goes out of his way to help Alex clear some time for them to have lunch. However, Mason's good intentions are undone, when he comments to Alex that she and Willow make a good couple. A professional Alex puts Mason back in his place and reprimands him for overstepping with his boss.
