Hollyoaks kicks off Ste Hay's new romance story next week – but things don't get off to a good start.
Ste (Kieron Richardson) has been single since splitting from Harry Thompson last year, but upcoming scenes see him tell Jonny (Ray Quinn) that he misses having a boyfriend.
The troubled character comes to this realisation after an unexpected catch-up with Harry (Parry Glasspool), which is actually engineered by a worried Tony Hutchinson.
Tony wants Harry to talk some sense into Ste, who has recently been initiated into Jonny and Stuart Sumner's far-right extremist group.
After the catch-up, Ste tells Jonny about wanting a new love interest and is pleased when Jonny promises to set him up with Jed.
However, as Ste meets Jed for the first time, things get off to a bad start as he struggles to connect with him.

With Ste unconvinced, Jonny and Stuart both persuade him to give Jed a chance – insisting that he shares the same ideology.
Doing as he's told, Ste later attends a very awkward date with Jed, where it becomes increasingly clear that they don't have many shared interests.
After a disastrous evening, Ste once again tells Jonny and Stuart that he doesn't want to pursue things with Jed as they don't have much in common. But how will Jed react when he overhears?
