Viewers watching Holby City on Tuesday night (April 2) may have recognised newcomer Phoebe Crowhurst from somewhere else.

Phoebe (Daisy Wood-Davis) has joined Holby's cast as the sister of Jack Ryder's character Evan – but some fans might remember her as Kim Butterfield from Hollyoaks. She bowed out of her role as Kim last year after a four-year stint on the Channel 4 soap.

And a couple of eagle-eyed viewers did manage to recognise Daisy.

In Tuesday's episode, Evan took his seriously ill sister Phoebe to the hospital to seek the expert medical care of Jac Naylor (Rosie Marcel) so that Phoebe could receive the best treatment possible.

Luckily Phoebe's surgery went well, but soon Evan's real reason for taking his sister to Holby was revealed.

What to Read Next

Evan is the ex-boyfriend of Chloe Godard (Amy Lennox) and they have previously been on and off together. So for that reason, it seemed like Evan's actual motive was to rekindle his romantic relationship with Chloe.

Chloe had a recent date with Cameron Dunn – and given that she was the one who dumped Evan, she looked surprised and immediately wrong-footed to see Evan unexpectedly turning up to Darwin.

However, things smoothed out for the ex-couple as Evan confessed that he wanted Chloe back and it looked like she was ready to give Evan another chance.

"Everything that I could want is right here," Chloe told Evan and shortly after that the pair kissed.

At the episode's end, Chloe had to face her real feelings and let Cameron know that she could only be "mates" with him.

Holby City airs on BBC One.
