Maisie Smith is set to star in a theatre adaptation of a "gripping" Patricia Highsmith classic.
The former EastEnders and Strictly Come Dancing star has joined the cast of The Talented Mr Ripley opposite The Crown star Ed McVey as Tom Ripley.
Smith will be playing the role of Marge Sherwood, a character played by Gwyneth Paltrow in the 1999 movie adaptation by Anthony Minghella. More recently, Marge was played by Dakota Fanning in Netflix limited series Ripley, featuring Andrew Scott in the lead role.
The stage play will be the first-ever UK tour of Ripley, inspired by Highsmith's 1955 novel of the same name.
2025 marks the 70th anniversary of the "iconic, gripping novel," the official announcement reads, teasing a "thrilling" production.
