As if all the twists and turns of Christmas and New Year weren't enough, EastEnders will be pulling out all the stops for its 35th anniversary next month.
Show bosses have announced that the soap's milestone will see several Albert Square characters attend a boat party on the Thames, where one character is expected to plunge to their death following a shocking incident.
With high drama also set to unfold back in the Square as well – as several characters finding themselves in shaky waters on shore – it's anyone's guess as to who is about to meet their maker. We've got some early guesses, though...
1. Leo King
High up on our list – Leo the lurker, AKA the man who has been making Whitney's life a misery for the past few weeks.
It's currently looking like Leo is nowhere to be seen on the boat, but don't be fooled, as that guy has a habit of popping up when we always least expect it.
There's also a high chance that Leo could find himself in danger on solid ground back in the Square. And given that we know one person will be left with blood on their hands this February, we've got our bets on Leo's sinister story being a major act in the show.

2. Linda Carter
Danny Dyer appears to have confirmed that his alter ego Mick is out of the firing line, but there's been no word on whether his on-screen wife Linda is too.
In fact, it's actually not looking great for Linda right now at all. That's because a batch of incriminating paparazzi pictures doing the rounds strongly suggest that she's one of the unfortunate characters who ends up in watery danger.
Viewers have watched Linda's problematic and painful descent into alcoholism over the last few weeks and her marriage to Mick will be at an all-time crisis by the time the anniversary arrives.
An official teaser for the unmissable week says that Mick and Linda "are primed to lead the party as they struggle to keep their marriage afloat", but could it mean afloat in a literal sense if the landlady plunges into the river?
3. Gray Atkins
Fans are eagerly waiting for evil Gray Atkins to get his comeuppance for his deplorable treatment of wife Chantelle, but it could be sooner than we think.
With no sightings of them on the river, Gray and Chantelle's drama is likely to take place back in Walford – far away from choppy waters.
Show bosses Jon Sen and Kate Oates have already confirmed that we are about to see the next chapter in Chantelle and Gray's story – but could it be the final one, too?
4. Stuart Highway
Reformed villain Stuart appears to have found his happy ending with Rainie, but any long-term soap fan will know that this usually foreshadows terrible tragedy.
Stuart has been loved up with Rainie ever since she returned from prison in December, but we all know the hard and fast soap rule: no-one ever stays happy for long. Could Stuart meet his maker next month?
5. Denise Fox
Denise looks safely ashore in the pap pics floating about online, so why is she still on our danger list? Well, let's not forget that the Soap Gods love a red herring and EastEnders have played this cunning card before (Abi Branning style).
While we hope this is not the case, there is still every chance Denise meets her maker in the murky waters of the Thames – with Diane Parish simply standing in the 'safe' camp to throw everyone off the scent.
It could also explain why Denise's partner Jack appears to be shouting out in grief in the pictures, as a body was pulled from the water. Could we be onto something here? Possibly.
6. Tina Carter
Much like Denise, Tina appears to be seemingly safe and sound if the paparazzi pictures are anything to go by. But for the same reasons listed above, we have our doubts.
Sweet-natured Tina has been doing her best to support Linda through her recent struggles, but her good intentions could place her in the crossfire if and when the situation gets out of hand on the boat. Some fans also think that it could be fitting and poignant if Linda's alcoholism led to tragedy for the family.
Show boss Kate Oates has always said that the 35th anniversary would be big for the Carters, but are they about to be hit by even more heartbreak?
7. Max Branning
Max falling to his death is another possible reason for his brother Jack's distress, and interestingly, he's nowhere to be seen after the fateful incident.
Given that it's looking like Max definitely boards the boat, but yet doesn't appear to come off, could his days in Walford be numbered?
8. Keanu Taylor
If you thought you'd seen the last of him, think again, as Keanu will be back next month – and with literally quite a bang.
After pictures showed Danny Walters back filming with the cast for the big anniversary week, it was confirmed that he will be heading back to Walford with a revenge plan in mind – which involves kidnapping Callum Highway.
Although there's no further information on how this all pans out, we'd be lying if we said we weren't a little concerned about Keanu's fate following his latest big risk.
Keanu appears to be live and kicking (albeit a bit bloody) following the boat fiasco, but there's still the possibility he could succumb to injuries later on. He's like the cat with nine lives, but could Keanu's luck have finally run out?
9. Callum Highway
Boat or no boat, Callum will be facing a highly dangerous situation in the lead-up to the anniversary, thanks to his boyfriend Ben Mitchell's unscrupulous antics.
Callum gets caught in the crossfire of the Mitchell mayhem and used as a pawn in the game when he is kidnapped by a vengeful Keanu. But will he get away unscathed? That remains to be seen.
