EastEnders will air more scandals, sinister twists and shock arrests in the aftermath of Phil Mitchell's attack next week.
As the Slaters pull together to protect Stacey's guilty secret, it's not long before the police come knocking on someone's door. That's not all though, as it's also a big week for Mick Carter as he suffers a big health scare, while Callum Highway's story is revisited.

1. Phil's attack causes shockwaves
With Phil’s life hanging in the balance, the big question now is whether Stacey will get away with her actions or not. Stacey was unveiled as the mysterious culprit responsible for attacking Phil in Tuesday's episode, after she whacked him with a wrench amid an explosive showdown.
As news of Phil's attack spreads through Walford next week, it’s not long before people start to point fingers – leaving Stacey, Kat and Martin all panic-stricken.

2. The police close in on two suspects
Whether Stacey can keep herself out of trouble remains to be seen, but either way, the police are hot on the heels of one character who they suspect is responsible.
In fact, the police are so sure they have the right culprit that they make an arrest as soon as Monday (August 5), but by the end of the week, they are turning up on the Square looking for someone else. Is the game up for Stacey? Or are the police barking up the wrong tree?
3. More shocking truths come to light
As the Mitchells rally around Phil’s bedside, emotions are understandably running high as the family await an update on his condition.
But as further information comes to light, fans should expect even more drama when one person learns a shocking truth that could change everything.
4. Callum's story is revisited
Callum’s problems will be brought back to the forefront in next week’s episodes when he struggles to write his wedding vows.
Already full of doubts about his impending nuptials, Callum feels the pressure more than ever as he’s tasked with writing some heartfelt words to read out in the ceremony.
To make matters worse, an excited Whitney is eagerly waiting to hear them. Will she cotton on to Callum’s increasing uncertainty over their future?
5. Mick collapses
EastEnders will also kick off a brand new story for Mick Carter next week, when he suffers a shock collapse. Mick’s health will take a turn for the worse at the end of a long week, which will see him buckle under pressure of multiple personal, professional and financial problems.
Viewers will see Mick struggle with the pressures of keeping his family and business afloat, but it’s amid a nasty argument at a football match that things really take their toll. What’s wrong with Mick and will he be alright?
6. Bex is worried
Despite his family seeming oblivious to Mick’s secret struggle, Bex Fowler will notice that something is amiss with the landlord in the lead-up to his collapse.
When Mick goes for a run, fellow jogger Bex is worried after she spots him struggling and attempts to offer him some tips (she did win the local half-marathon after all!)
At the café, Bex’s concerns grow when it’s clear Mick’s in physical pain, but will she share her worries with anyone?
7. Linda is furious with Ruby
Ruby could be about to make a new enemy, when she gets on the wrong side of Linda Carter. After complaining to Honey for playing loud music, Ruby is wracked with guilt when she realises it was actually Janet and gives the youngster a gift to apologise.
However, when Linda hears what happened, she is quick to share her opinion – leaving Ruby stunned by her angry reaction. As the row escalates, Mick is forced to intervene and defuse the situation, but will the two women be able to make amends?
8. Habiba sets a trap for Adam
There’s a big development in Habiba and Adam’s ongoing affair story next week, as she decides to find out where he stands once and for all.
After being caught in a compromising position by an infuriated Iqra, Habiba is given a big wake-up call over her situation by both her concerned sister and Lola Pearce.
Wanting to know how Adam really feels about her, Habiba spots an opportunity to find out later on and sets a trap. But is she about to learn the hard way?
9. Iqra supports Bobby
Bobby is exploring the Islamic faith following his time in prison and when Iqra finds out, she instantly steps up to support him.
Not only does Iqra invite Bobby to Eid at the Ahmeds', but she also urges him to tell his family. But when Rainie stumbles across Bobby’s belongings in his rucksack, could she get in there and tell the Beales first?
10. Chantelle faces new fears
Chantelle finds a much-needed friend in Whitney next week, but her devastating secret soon threatens to rock the boat.
Chantelle is given a great distraction from her harrowing home life when she helps Whitney with her clothing empire and the two women strike up a strong bond in the process.
However, when Chantelle later sees her images on social media, she is panic-stricken – knowing Gray will disapprove. Desperate to stop Gray from seeing, Chantelle lies to Whitney in order to get the posts down, but will Whit go along with it?
11. Denise clashes with Sheree
We were warned Patrick’s new girlfriend could cause fireworks and there are sparks aplenty when she gets on the wrong side of Denise.
Although Denise attempts to embrace Patrick’s new love interest, her patience starts to wear thin when Sheree comes to work at the salon.
Already feeling frustrated about Sheree's ongoing presence, things grow even worse for Denise when her colleague Chantelle asks to reduce her hours further. And when Sheree soon steps in with a suggestion, it looks like Denise’s problems are set to get a whole lot worse.
