Stacey decides to have a romantic meal with Martin to make amends for giving him a hard time recently. However, Stacey gets caught up dealing with Max's troubles. When Max injures himself on a picture frame and Stacey tries to help, she's horrified by what she discovers.
Stacey continues to help Max as he breaks down, and she ends up telling Martin that she can't make dinner. Max makes a shocking admission to Stacey and they're both unaware that Martin is watching the house from across the Square.
Meanwhile, Karen makes a big announcement to her family.
Elsewhere, Shirley announces that she'll be leaving her job at the Queen Vic. Worried about Shirley's next move, Mick warns her to keep any dodgy business away from the pub.
