1. Roy is targeted by thugs
Roy is concerned after hearing that Shona is unwell, although he's unaware that this was merely a ploy to convince him to resume working at the café.
As Roy kindly heads outside to deliver some home-made soup to Shona, he's confronted by a group of thugs who recognise him from the highly-publicised Lauren Bolton investigation.

The gang surround Roy and make nasty comments, causing him to fall to the floor. Carla rushes to Roy's rescue and although he downplays the incident, it's clear that he's in pain.
2. There's a shock for Roy in hospital
Roy gets annoyed when Shona comes clean about how she was never ill, which means that he headed outside for no reason. The café boss has become reclusive following his recent stint on remand in prison, so stepping out into the world again had been a big moment for him.
Later, Roy's health takes another dramatic turn for the worse and he collapses at the café. Nina and Shona are worried as they arrive to find paramedics giving Roy CPR.
At the hospital, a surprise visitor appears at Roy's bedside.
3. Nina questions Roy's story
As Roy drifts in and out of consciousness, his visitor sticks around for a while before disappearing.
Roy tells Nina who came to see him, but she questions his story and wonders if he was hallucinating. Who does Roy think he has seen?
4. Mason's release is confirmed
Maria receives a letter to inform her that Mason is due to be released from the Young Offenders centre after just three months.
The worried mum fears for Liam's safety once Mason is out on the streets again, so she visits the police station to discuss the situation.
5. Gary and Sarah's latest secret is exposed
When Maria arrives at the station, she's surprised to find that Gary and Sarah are there together.
Gary is providing his bank statements to DS Swain, after Sarah was questioned over Nathan's bribe. Taken aback, Maria demands to know what Gary and Sarah are up to now.
6. Amy considers joining The Institute
Leanne promises to look after Toyah following recent revelations at the hospital, but she realises that she's needed elsewhere when Rowan asks her to attend an Institute event.
Rowan is hosting a taster session for potential new recruits, so Toyah offers to make life easier for Leanne by going with her.
Leanne is pleased when she sees Amy at the event, but Toyah is sure to be concerned that Amy has ignored her warnings about the sinister cult.
7. Craig worries about Kit
Craig speaks to Beth about stresses at work, admitting that he's worried he has got on the wrong side of Kit after their recent interactions.
He mentions the recent shoplifting incident with Gemma, which saw them both arrive to interview the store's owner at the same time.
8. Carla leaves Betsy disappointed
DS Swain's daughter Betsy continues to do work experience at the factory, although she's keen to secure a full-time position.
Carla dismisses this suggestion and Betsy is upset, although she may not be prepared to take no for an answer.
