Coronation Street star Sally Dynevor has revealed that production has begun on the soap's 60th anniversary special.
The soap is marking the milestone on air later this year, and during an interview on today's (October 6) Lorraine, Sally teased the big "community story" that will be the focus of the special.
"Brilliantly, we're starting filming now on the 60th anniversary, and it's great because it's a community story, so everyone's involved, which is perfect for Coronation Street," the Sally Metcalfe actress said.

"We're all coming together, and it really is a lovely community story. We're starting filming that in the next... well, we started this week, so that'll be out on December 9th, which is really exciting.
"At least we'll be able to film something to put out for you for the 60th anniversary. 60 years of Coronation Street, that's amazing!" the actress added.

We already know that the special will see Ray Crosby (Mark Frost) try to buy up the various properties on the street, so no doubt the community element will play into that.

Speaking previously to Digital Spy and other media about Ray's plans, Mark teased: "Ray has got no familial links on the Street. He sees people and communities as pawns.
"I think to a certain extent there is that breed of property developer, who in order to get plans drawn up and disband communities, they can't surely look at people as individuals and human beings.
"For Ray, sentimentality is a weakness. It's something he hates and it's probably something from his childhood. We could look at his attitude towards women and maybe his mother, but I think it's to do with that.
"I think he sees the neighbourly love in Weatherfield and people looking out for each other – and he has a distaste for that. I think it probably burns him in a way because he is such a loner, and he doesn't feel that. I think he's quite prepared to set fire to all of that."
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV. Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV at 9am.
