Coronation Street's Andy Whyment has shown a very different side to himself on Instagram as he proved that he's got some lockdown moves.

The actor, who plays Kirk Sutherland in the ITV soap, shared an incredible video of himself, wife Nicola and daughter Hollie recreating that iconic Will Smith dance routine to Men in Black's title track.

The trio were suited and booted in their black and white outfits – with Nicola wearing son Tom's school shirt – and shades and performed a very in-sync version of the routine in their living room.

Sharing the clip on Instagram, Whyment wrote: "Went full out costume and everything for this one a bit of MEN IN BLACK and Nic managed to squeeze into Tom's 11 to 12 years school shirt to get into character".

He also shared some cute behind-the-scenes photos of the family, one where they are all seen smiling and another where they look seriously ready for some alien-hunting action.

Whyment's co-star Jack P Shepherd, who plays David Platt, called the video "Mega" while Samia Longchambon, who plays Kirk's on-screen sister Maria Connor, commented "Ace work guys!" and former Corrie star Michelle Keegan, who played Tina McIntyre, wrote "Brilliant".

The actor, who has played Kirk for 20 years, is also known for finishing in second place on last year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! after reaching the final alongside eventual Queen of the Jungle Jacqueline Jossa.

Corrie is said to be making preparations to return to filming in June after shutting down production in March due to the coronavirus pandemic, with ITV saying that they are looking to restart production but that health and safety remain the "highest priority".

Coronation Street currently airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm on ITV.
