Callum Logan may be gone, but former Coronation Street star Sean Ward has signed up for a new soap role.
Ward, who played the villain for one year until September 2015, will appear in the Wednesday, March 20 episode of Doctors (via Inside Soap).
His character, Tam Campbell, is the boyfriend of Becky Clarke – Mrs Tembe's replacement at the surgery portrayed by former Hollyoaks star Ali Bastian.
Ward's villainous Corrie character Callum was killed by Kylie Platt as part of a live episode, after he took Sarah hostage. His corpse was buried in concrete, and Sarah and David helped to cover for Kylie.
Callum's death was revisited last year, when Sarah confessed to Gary Windass what happened that night.

Earlier this year, a tabloid report claimed that Ward and former co-star Katie McGlynn (who plays Sinead Tinker) were getting close at the National Television Awards in January.
McGlynn denied the report and clarified that it was just "two old mates catching up at a party".
Ward also opened up about his battle with mental illness recently, explaining that he gave up alcohol, cannabis, and porn in order to "get past the first stages of depression".
Doctors airs on weekdays at 1.45pm on BBC One.
