Amanda Seyfried sported a half-braided cornrow hairstyle at the Ted 2 premiere in New York last night (June 24).
Amanda's eye-catching look got us reminiscing about the early noughties, when many an A-list celebrity and pop star attempted to pull-off the tricky hairstyle.
From Justin Timberlake to Cheryl Fernandez-Versini (née Tweedy) - plenty of celebs gave it a go. Without much success. Here's a quick look back.
1. Justin Timberlake
We appreciate that J-T has very curly hair - it was once his signature look after all - and this photo was taken back in the year 2000, but neither good enough excuses for us.
2. David Beckham
What to Read Next
Of all the experimental hairstyles David Beckham's debuted throughout the years - the double ponytail, the dodgy mohawk - we were the least convinced by his intricate cornrows in 2003.
3. Cheryl Fernandez-Versini
We're a bit scared of Cheryl Fernandez-Versini (née Tweedy) and her cornrows, seen here back in 2003 during the very early days of Girls Aloud.
4. Christina Aguilera
Christina Aguilera was the Cornrow Queen back in the day, and here she's somehow styled them into an impressive Medusa-style sculpture at the 2001 World Music Awards.
5. Jared Leto
OK, so maybe Jared Leto's cornrows were for his villainous role in 2002's Panic Room, but he left them in for longer than necessary. Probably.
6. Melanie Griffiths
Not only is Melanie Griffiths wearing cornrows in the year 2000, she has had them adorned with beads...
7. Courteney Cox
It would be criminal not to include Monica Gellar's infamous Barbadian cornrows from a 2003 episode of Friends. "It's a treat for the eyes and ears!"
8. Kim Kardashian
The reality TV star makes headlines every time she changes her hairstyle and in 2010, she debuted short-lived cornrows.
9. Heidi Klum
Model and TV presenter Heidi Klum has sported the cornrow style on many an occasion.
10. Brooke Vincent
We haven't seen Corrie's Brooke Vincent sporting this style since her half-braided hairdo in early 2013.
11. Rita Ora
X Factor judge Rita Ora manages to pull off the cornrow - and multi-coloured ones at that - for Radio 1's Big Weekend in Glasgow.
