Undisputed king of arena comedy Michael McIntyre returns after a three-year absence for his 'Happy & Glorious' tour. He's the definition of middle class mainstream comedy, but he's undeniably funny. Riffing on his poshness and plenty of skipping are guaranteed.

3. Stewart Lee: A Room With a Stew
The acerbic Comedy Vehicle maestro takes his new tour on the road. He's easily one of the best comedians on the circuit at the moment, so get a ticket while they're still available.

4. Katherine Ryan: Glam Role Model
The past 12 months have seen Katherine Ryan propelled from relative unknown to the mainstream. This year she continues her tour in which she speaks, amongst other things, about getting into an argument with Tulisa and an ex-boyfriend who cheated on her with a glamour model.

5. Henning Wehn: Eins, Zwei, DIY
Observant and engaging, Henning Wehn's German take on British culture never fails to be funny. Musing on finance, the housing crisis and loan companies, his latest show promises to be wunderbar.

6. How Now Mrs Brown Cow
Love her or loathe her, Mrs Brown is huge. The formidable Irish matriarch - as well as Brendan O'Carroll - is heading out on tour again this year for more outrageous shenanigans. After a night at a gig, you'll feel like one of the family.

7. Kevin Bridges: A Whole Different Story
The supremely talented young comedian has an impossibly natural delivery and is a must-see live. His new show is set to break records again, as he performs an amazing 15 nights at the Glasgow SECC Arena.

8. Simon Amstell: To Be Free
Amstell already took 'To Be Free' on the road late last year, but if you didn't manage to see the show, he's touring across the country again soon. Thought-provoking and insightful, this will make you see life in a new - more downbeat - light.

9. Dave Gorman Gets Straight to the Point* (*The Powerpoint)
Master of the elaborate lecture, Dave Gorman is taking his Mac and projector around the country later this year. Neurotic and pernickety in the very best way possible, Gorman's innovative take on the everyday and minutiae of life is not to be missed.

10. Ellie Taylor: Elliementary
You might recognise Taylor from hosting Snog, Marry, Avoid or featuring in Show Me The Funny. But don't let that put you off. Taking her debut tour on the road, her material on modeling for Matalan and the strains of long-distance relationships is a hoot.

11. Richard Herring: Lord of the Dance Settee
Richard Herring's stand-up has become renowned for having a theme - whether it's about Jesus or Hitler. However, in this continuing tour we get to see a more eclectic, frivolous and daft side to Herring as he riffs without much direction. Which turns out not to be a bad thing at all.
