It's bad news for Foo Fighters - and their fans - as they have been forced to pull out of this year's Glastonbury after Dave Grohl broke his leg last week.

However, with a headline slot on the Pyramid Stage now freed up, Digital Spy lists six huge acts who could potentially head to Worthy Farm for a last-minute career highlight.

1. Florence + the Machine - CONFIRMED

The most sensible and easiest option would be to bump Florence Welch and her band up to the top spot. The group are currently celebrating the chart-topping success of their latest album How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful in both the UK and US, so a last-minute headline billing at Glastonbury feels more than justified.

However, with Florence also recovering from a broken ankle after her accident at Coachella, and with the band having to almost double the length of their set to fill the headline spot, they may not feel like 2015 is their year to properly show their full might in such a high-pressured slot.

2. AC/DC

What to Read Next

The British/Aussie rockers were one of the lead favourites before the Glastonbury headliners were announced, so maybe all those bets will come good now that the Foos have had to pull out? Frontman Brian Johnson has previously said they would never do the festival, but they did seem to have a slight change of heart earlier in the year.

What's more, their European tour schedule would easily allow them to appear, with their first show in the UK being the Sunday after in Glasgow on June 28.

3. The Strokes

Although the band ruled out playing Glastonbury earlier this year, The Strokes are in the country and free to perform should they have a change of heart now the Friday headline slot is free.

The New York group will play a massive show at Hyde Park this week (June 18), so they will be warmed-up and ready should the Eavises decide to put in the call.

4. Kylie Minogue

The Aussie pop princess already has a full show rehearsed and ready to go for her British Summer Time show in Hyde Park this Sunday (June 21), so shifting the festivities to Worthy Farm for the night could be a simple set-up.

It would also be a poignant moment for Kylie as she was forced to pull out of her own headline set at Glastonbury back in 2005 after being diagnosed with breast cancer. Festival-goers might say she's too pop, but after a few drinks, even the toughest muso can't resist a spot of 'The Locomotion'.

5. Blur

Another of the favourites to headline before the line-up was released, Blur also have a show ready to go after their Hyde Park date this weekend. With their latest album The Magic Whip shooting to number one back in April, could they really resist the opportunity to treat Glastonbury to new music?

Having headlined Glastonbury a handful of times before, the four-piece are familiar with what it takes to put on a massive musical spectacle to fill up the expansive Pyramid Stage.

6. Taylor Swift

Her pal Ed Sheeran assured us last year that Taylor would never headline a festival as she likes full control over her own show. However, could the temptation of a last-minute headline slot at the world's largest greenfield festival sway her stubbornness?

T-Swizz is already booked in to play Hyde Park on Sunday, June 28 as part of her 1989 world tour, so all of the hits and costumes are ready to go for a massive outdoor show. Some may say that Taylor is too commercial for Worthy Farm, but if there's one popstar who could pull it off in 2015, it's Nashville's finest.
