Walt Disney Studios has dropped the first trailer for Tron: Ares.
The preview was released today, and starts with a car chase as a voice declares: "I'm looking for something... something I do not understand."
We then get a glimpse of the film's stars, including Greta Lee and Gillian Anderson, before Jared Leto is unveiled in full and Jeff Bridges's Kevin Flynn declares that "there's no going back".
Sharing a short preview of the trailer on their official X account yesterday, Disney wrote: "Trailer tomorrow. #TronAres."
Starring Leto in the titular role as Ares, the threequel will follow "a highly sophisticated Program" known as Ares who is "sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankind's first encounter with AI beings".

The previous six-second clip shared by Disney showed Ares speeding along on a Light Cycle. As sirens sound in the background, he accelerates, seemingly in an attempt to escape the police.
Joining Leto in the cast for the upcoming third instalment in the sci-fi franchise are Lee, Anderson, Bridges, Evan Peters, Jodie Turner-Smith, Sarah Desjardins and Cameron Monaghan.
Announcing his return last year, Bridges, who starred as computer programmer Kevin Flynn in 1982's Tron and 2010's Tron: Legacy, said he was anxious about working with Leto.
"I'm heading off this Saturday to play a part in the third instalment of the Tron story," he said, adding: "It's wild. Jared Leto is the star of this third one, and I'm really anxious to work with him, and I've admired his work."

Previously speaking about the film, the threequel's director Joachim Rønning said: "I'm excited to be part of the Tron franchise and bring this new film to fans around the world.
"Tron: Ares builds upon the legacy of cutting-edge design, technology, and storytelling. Now more than ever, it feels like the right time to return to the Grid."
Tron: Ares is expected in cinemas on October 10, 2025.
