1R2-D2's Rockets
DisneyIt seems to be a theme that technology was more advanced the further we go back in the Star Wars timeline. But if R2-D2 has rocket boosters in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, why doesn't he ever use them in the later films?
2Obi-Wan's rapid aging
DisneyLife on Tatooine must be tough. At least that's what the audience has to assume, given that there are just 20 years between the sprightly Obi-Wan at the end of Episode III and the old man Luke encounters in A New Hope.

3Luke is still called "Skywalker"
Lucasfilm//20th Century StudiosIf he's been smuggled away from his dad at the end of Episode III and handed to his aunt and uncle (Owen and Beru Lars) for safekeeping, shouldn't they change his name to Luke Lars? Calling him Luke Skywalker greatly increases the chances his father Anakin will discover him.
4Obi-Wan's rubbish alias
LucasfilmIf Luke "Skywalker" somehow manages to go undetected, then clearly "Old Ben Kenobi" isn't going to get a second glance. Nice name change, Obi-Wan.

5Robes are not a disguise
DisneyIt turns out the Jedi always wore robes. So when Obi-Wan pops off to a desert planet to escape the Empire and go into hiding, he dresses like a Jedi. Next you'll be telling us Superman just uses his glasses as a disguise. Oh...
6Elected Royalty
Lucasfilm//DisneyWe get it, Leia is a princess so she's supposed to be the child of royalty. But as the leader of Naboo, it's natural that her mother Padmé Amidala would sit in the senate, Lucas didn't have to justify her inclusion by having the character talk about elections: "I was not elected to watch my people suffer and die while you discuss this invasion in a committee."

7Obi-Wan's droid amnesia
DisneyIs Obi-Wan losing his memory? When he says "I don't seem to remember ever owning a droid" he may be correct, but he and R2 spent three films palling around together and the droid helped him numerous times. Talk about being blanked!
8No love For Qui-Gon
20th Century StudiosR2-D2 isn't the only major player in Obi-Wan's past to get struck off. Kenobi's force ghost tells Luke that Yoda is "the Jedi Master who instructed me" in The Empire Strikes Back. Sorry Qui-Gon Jinn, but apparently your schooling doesn't rate a mention.

9The Rule of Two
20th Century StudiosWhen they encounter Darth Maul, Yoda explains to Obi-Wan: "Always two there are, no more, no less. A master and an apprentice." So why are the Emperor and Darth Vader trying to bring Luke into the fold in Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi?
10Leia remembering her mother
DisneyWhen remembering her real mother, Leia describes her as "beautiful, kind and sad". Which is odd, given that Padmé died in childbirth. What is supposed to be a powerfully emotional scene in Revenge of the Sith is actually a blooper.

11"Only a master of evil, Darth!"
Lucasfilm//DisneyWhy does Obi-Wan refer to his former pupil Anakin by his Sith name "Darth Vader" in their confrontation on the Death Star? He knows him by his real name and if he was still looking to find some humanity within him, calling up that past might have done so.
12Jedi Who?
DisneyIn A New Hope the Jedi are a forgotten order. But they were actually major players in planetary affairs just 20 years earlier. Order 66 did more than wipe out their numbers, it also seems to have erased everyone's memories.

13Rent-A-Ghost
20th Century StudiosIn Revenge of the Sith (and a deleted scene from that film) we learn that Qui-Gon Jinn has taught Yoda how to become a force ghost and the Jedi master tells Obi-Wan he will teach him the same power. So who taught Anakin, allowing him to join the party at the end of Return of the Jedi?
