Felicity Jones has responded to the news of her BAFTA nomination.
The British star is nominated in the Leading Actress category for her part in Stephen Hawking biopic The Theory of Everything.
She has been recognised alongside Reese Witherspoon (Wild), Julianne Moore (Still Alice), Amy Adams (Big Eyes) and Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl).
Speaking to PA, she said: "It's midnight here. We're just about to go to bed, but we've all been emailing each other and exclaiming with excitement.
"I'm looking forward to celebrating with a glass of champagne and Skyping my family."
She added: "I'm in such a fantastic category of women, and I've admired Julianne Moore for many years, and Reese Witherspoon particularly, and loved their performances in both their films, and I really feel they do revolutionary work in terms of presenting female characters on screen."
