The director of Kong: Skull Island has written his own searingly Honest Trailer, in what's either career suicide or a pretty ingenious manoeuvre to avoid further criticism by getting in there first.
The Kong: Skull Island Honest Trailer begins typical Screen Junkies style, until Jordan Vogt-Roberts cuts in half way through to inform viewers that he will now be taking over the clip with words he wrote himself.
And he totally dug out his own movie.
"Look, you guys can criticise my movie all you want, all I ask is if you do it, have some f**king merit to it," he said.
"I love film criticism, it's an important part of this art form, but you wanna know who my biggest critic is? Me.
"You wanna know everything f**king wrong with Kong: Skull Island? I will f**king tell you."

As he does. And it's pretty f**king brutal.
"Try to enjoy a movie with major structural problems, that spends the whole first act bringing its cast together, only to split everyone apart 10 minutes later," he said.
"That was going for the emotional simplicity of Aliens, but ended up with the complexity of Aliens vs Predator.
"Meet great human characters like John C Reilly, then meet more human characters and more and more, because most contemporary blockbusters have too many characters and most of them should have been cut or consolidated but hey, I'm the director, that's on me."
He adds: "It's a movie that takes some of our best and most talented working actors and gives them nothing that even resembles an arc."
Ouch.
Good luck getting Hollywood backing from here on out, pal.
