They say you should never meet your heroes – and in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, it seems like Rey might be thinking that very thing.
Well, that's what Daisy Ridley hinted at during today's (April 14) Star Wars Celebration panel, as well as confirming we WILL get to know more about where Rey came from and what her story actually is.
She said: "In The Last Jedi, we go deeper into Rey's story and what is very apparent from where we left off is Rey has a certain expectation as to what she might get from Luke and what that might entail.
"It's difficult to meet your heroes as they might not be what you expect."
In case you need a little reminder, Star Wars: The Force Awakens ended with Rey arriving on Ahch-To to try to persuade Luke Skywalker out of hiding and to return to help the cause.
The film ended with the best – and highly stressful – cliffhanger with her silently extending her lightsaber to him.
What to Read Next
Back at the panel, Daisy added: "I think what we're all very excited for are Luke's first words."
Too right.
However it seems like those details might have already slipped out thanks to a few lucky people who have already got a preview of what's been shot.
According to rumours, Luke's first words to Rey are: "Who are you?" – which is rather interesting indeed, if it is true.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is released in cinemas on December 15, so we've got a while until it can all be fully confirmed.
