A clip of Carrie Fisher's original audition for Star Wars: A New Hope is being shared by fans as a perfect reminder of how there could only ever have been one Princess Leia.
The video shows Carrie reading her lines with Harrison Ford as Han Solo, and it turns out her role as the ever-capable Princess - and later, General - Leia Organa was a perfect fit right from the off.

The legendary actress, author, script doctor and outspoken mental health advocate passed away yesterday (December 27), four days after suffering a heart attack on board a transatlantic flight.
Carrie's role as Princess Leia, a fearless leader of the Rebel Alliance, was one of the most recognisable and loved across the series.
Her fellow co-stars Harrison and Mark Hamill, and Star Wars creator George Lucas have all paid tribute to the "one-of-a-kind" star.

"Carrie was one-of-a-kind… brilliant, original," Harrison said. "Funny and emotionally fearless. She lived her life, bravely…We will all miss her."
Praising Carrie's "colourful personality", Lucas said: "In Star Wars, she was our great and powerful princess – feisty, wise and full of hope in a role that was more difficult than most people might think.

"My heart and prayers are with Billie [Lourd], Debbie [Reynolds] and all Carrie's family, friends and fans. She will be missed by all."
Hamill, who played Leia's brother Luke Skywalker, took to Twitter and called the news of Carrie's passing "downright heartbreaking".
"Carrie was one-of-a-kind who belonged to us all - whether she liked it or not," he wrote.
"She was OUR Princess, damn it, & the actress who played her blurred into one gorgeous, fiercely independent & ferociously funny, take-charge woman who took our collective breath away."
