If spring could please hurry up because we're desperate to see Jordan Vogt-Roberts' Kong: Skull Island, then that would be great.
Not helping matters, though, is the fact that the team behind this upcoming action epic has released a quick teaser clip this weekend in preparation for the film's forthcoming trailer drop. Talk about tantalising.

The 11-second clip was posted from the film's official Twitter account on Saturday (November 12), along with the simple yet intriguing caption: "The calm before the storm."
The footage zips between an old fashioned project roll, an aged map, helicopters whizzing overseas and then the words "Four Days", followed by "All Hail the King".
Couple this with the fact that a first-look photo of King Kong revealed earlier this month is absolutely terrifying and we have ourselves a film to look forward to.
11 Kong: Skull Island spoilers we learned at Comic-Con
Vogt-Roberts has previously promised that his film monster is "something that is its own species", and the fact that producer Alex Garcia previously hinted that it will also be over 100 feet tall means that it's very likely he'll be able to deliver on that promise.
The movie sees SAS man Tom Hiddleston and photographer Brie Larson tracking Kong in the '70s during the time of the Vietnam War.

Our first look at the film came all the way back in July during Comic-Con, so we're overdue a new trailer really.
Should Skull Island prove a box office smash, the current plan is for Kong to eventually battle Warner Bros' other monster Godzilla in the ultimate movie monster showdown.
Kong: Skull Island opens on March 10, 2017 in cinemas. Watch a trailer below:
