The first trailer to new Star Wars spinoff Rogue One could debut alongside screenings of Captain America: Civil War, according to reports today.
Fan site Star Wars Time claims our first look at the film - set before A New Hope and centred on a group of pilots who steal plans to the Death Star - will land in cinemas and online around the Marvel blockbuster's May 6 release.
There's a certain logic to this - the second trailer to The Force Awakens arrived attached to screenings of The Avengers: Age of Ultron, after all.
With less than a year till the film's December 16 UK release, a trailer is due sooner rather than later. Our first footage of The Force Awakens, to put things in perspective, hit the web on November 28, 2014 - almost 13 months before Episode 7's eventual release.
After JJ Abrams's film obliterated box office records like a solar-powered Starkiller Base death ray through a neighbouring planet core, anticipation for Disney's next Star Wars hit is higher than ever.
So far, however, all we've had in the way of sneak peeks at Rogue One is a paltry cast photo and rumours about character names, plot points and a cameo for one Darth Vader.
What to Read Next
Not everyone's convinced by today's reports, with some others speculating the film's first trailer will debut during the Super Bowl on February 7 - a TV slot that film studios regularly use to tease their biggest forthcoming releases.
Elsewhere, there have been suggestions that Disney could attach a trailer to their forthcoming Chris Pine disaster movie The Finest Hours, in an attempt to boost that film's box office.
Whatever's included in our first look at Gareth Edwards's much-hyped 'Anthology' film, it can't come soon enough. Don't hold out on us too long, Disney.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is released in the UK on December 16.
