Warwick Davis might just have a cameo in Star Wars: The Force Awakens - but he could have a bigger role in future movies.

The actor revealed to Digital Spy at tonight's London premiere that his disguised appearance in JJ Abrams's sequel might actually be a glimpse of things to come.

"It's just a cameo again, just a kind of token gesture that I'm there," he explained. "It's lovely to be back. I couldn't have asked for more. It's fabulous."

He went on to tease: "[My cameo] is very insignificant. He's just there. He's no doubt somebody we'll find out more about in the expanded universe – as with a lot of characters.

"Hopefully, people will be intrigued enough to kind of wonder who he is and know a bit more about him… Fingers crossed [for another cameo]."
