Kenneth Branagh has booked a seat on Murder On The Orient Express - as both actor and director.
He was announced to helm the adaptation of the Agatha Christie novel in a new 20th Century Fox production (via ComingSoon.net).
Branagh will star as Hercule Poirot, who is tasked to investigate a murder on the world's most famous train - but which of the many suspicious passengers on board is to blame?
The five-time Oscar nominated actor has been splitting his time between acting and directing, with recent outings on Thor and Cinderella in the director's chair.
He recently starred as the villain in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (as well as directing it) and has been continuing to appear in Wallander.
Branagh will also produce Murder On The Orient Express, alongside Ridley Scott, Simon Kinberg (of The Martian) and Mark Gordon (Steve Jobs).
Michael Green who is behind Scott's Blade Runner 2 is writing the screenplay but no release date is currently set.
