Fast Forever, the 11th film in the Fast & Furious franchise, has a lot of hype to live up to given its reportedly the final entry in the main series. And with themes of family likely to be at the centre of the narrative, lead star Vin Diesel has teased a "proper finale".
The eagerly-awaited follow-up to 2023's Fast X has been in development hell with a slew of changes to the release date and screenwriting team. At the time of writing, the film is due to be released 17 March 2028, with Michael Lesslie penning the script.
That hasn't stopped fans from being excited, however, with several viewers wishing to see the story wrapped up carefully. Diesel, for his part, has often drummed up enthusiasm by sharing updates via social media.

In a new post on Instagram, the Dom Toretto actor began by recalling some advice left by his father, which read: "My father gave me four words of wisdom that I have gone back to time and time again... finish what you started."
Diesel also referenced The Lord of the Rings author JRR Tolkien as well as his own roles in the Riddick and Guardians of the Galaxy franchises, before he addressed his upcoming role in Fast Forever.

Little is known about the 11th film in the action franchise other than its title and release date, though Diesel has confirmed that Brian O'Connor – who was portrayed by the late Paul Walker – will appear in some capacity.
Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot, meanwhile, are expected to reprise their respective roles as Luke Hobbs and Gisele Yashar, while Louis Leterrier is returning to the director's chair after helming Fast X.
Fast Forever is scheduled to be released in cinemas on 17 March 2028.
