The force really is with Star Wars, as the new movie has broken the all-time record for selling the most pre-sale cinema tickets in its first day on sale.

The Force Awakens has beaten The Hunger Games eight times over, while Monday's (October 19) pre-sales also surpassed every IMAX record ever after taking $6.5 million.
