Tom Hiddleston may have a new pair of co-stars in Kong: Skull Island: Brie Larson and Russell Crowe.
Universal casting agents are looking to bulk up the cast following the departures of both JK Simmons and Michael Keaton.
Deadline reports that Larson is in talks for the female lead and Crowe would replace either Keaton or Simmons.
A further script draft is also awaiting submission from John Gatins and Max Borenstein.
Whilst attached, Simmons revealed the movie would be partially set in 1970s Detroit and also feature explorers venturing into Kong's homeland jungle.
The Kings of Summer's Jordan Vogt-Roberts will direct the film alongside the producing team behind Godzilla.
