David Tennant has admitted that he had his "eye on" a role that was later given to Pedro Pascal.
The actor has played a number of iconic characters over the years, from his stint as the tenth Doctor in Doctor Who to his role as Jessica Jones supervillain Kilgrave.
Now, Tennant has expressed his desire to re-enter the MCU - this time, as a beloved superhero.
Appearing at MCM Comic Con in London this weekend, the star was asked which superhero or villain role he would've loved to play, even if it had already been taken.
Tennant revealed that he was considering the role of Mr Fantastic, the leader of The Fantastic Four, which has since been snapped up by Pascal.

"In terms of superheroes, I don't know, I did slightly have my eye on Reed Richards, and unfortunately, it looks like they've gone in a different direction," Tennant replied.
"Although if it has to be someone, I'm happy for it to be Pedro Pascal, frankly."
"I would have quite liked to be Reed Richards. I'd quite like to be able to do all that," he continued, stretching his arm out to imitate the character's powers.

"So I'll stick with that even though it's gone, even though it's gonna be a while before there's another go at that, I think, unfortunately."
Tennant added: "I think Pedro Pascal is great. I'm very, very pleased that he exists."
The Marvel reboot, titled The Fantastic Four: First Steps, will be hitting cinemas later this year, with Vanessa Kirby (Sue Storm), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben Grimm) and Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm) completing the foursome.
Meanwhile, Julia Garner (Shalla-Bal/Silver Surfer), Ralph Ineson (Galactus), John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne and Paul Walter Hauser are also set to appear.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps will be released in cinemas on July 25, 2025.
