Hollyoaks and I'm a Celeb star Owen Warner is set to battle spiders in a "unique" British horror-comedy.
Directed by Creep's Christopher Smith, Spider Island will follow a group of social media influencers invited to the launch of a new hotel. But while visiting the extravagant tropical island, the online stars will come face-to-face with deadly arachnids.
According to Deadline, the film features a mix of veteran actors and social media figures, including soap and reality star Warner.
The actor, who played Romeo Nightingale on Hollyoaks, will be joined by Sanditon's Rose Williams, Blackadder's Tim McInnerny, TikTok star Avani Gregg, Wicked's Andy Nyman, YouTuber Lena Mahfouf, Granchester actor Carlotta Banat, and The Grove's Anuschka Van Lent.
The film is produced by Allan Niblo and James Richardson for Vertigo Films alongside Mike Knowles for Now Films.

"Spider Island is first and foremost a great comedy horror for audiences around the world," Richardson said in a statement.

Director Smith added: "I've been searching for the perfect project to balance scares and laughter, and Spider Island delivers. We have a unique mix of real-life creators, actors and a great script to make a comedy-horror for our time."
This won't be the first time Warner has had to contend with terrifying creepy crawlies, as he previously appeared on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! back in 2022.
The star entered the Australian jungle on Day 1 and finished in second place, with fellow campmate Jill Scott winning the crown.
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
