We've got an exclusive behind-the-scenes clip from Wicked to mark its digital release in the UK today (January 3).

The clip, which you can watch above, focuses on the casting of Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero and reveals his reaction to co-star Cynthia Erivo asking him (virtually) to "please be our Fiyero".

"Let's dance, I'm ready," Bailey responded, marking a dream role for the Bridgerton star.

"If I'd been told 10 years ago that I'd be playing Fiyero, I would not have believed anyone but my heart would have popped," he explains later in the clip.

"Fiyero, essentially, is what the female part to all male-dominated action films of the '80s and '90s have been. It's so important with Fiyero that he dances with abandon. I've really quite enjoyed supporting Cynthia and Ari."

The exclusive clip also features director Jon M Chu, who talks about the extensive casting process for everybody in Wicked, not just Fiyero.

"We auditioned a lot of people for these roles. We saw everybody, I can't list all the people, but we saw everybody and there was no free pass. We said if you want to come in, you have to come in and audition," he recalled.

Wicked's digital release also comes with 10 extended or deleted scenes, one of which has led to outrage from fans that it was deleted from the movie.

If you want to check out the deleted scenes yourself, as well as the other featurettes that go into the making of the hit movie, you can buy or rent Wicked right now in the UK from Prime Video, iTunes, Microsoft Store and more.

The movie is also still out in cinemas if you fancy the big-screen experience.
