Ethan Hawke has joined the cast of The Magnificent Seven.
The Oscar nominee will star in the remake of the 1960 Western classic alongside Denzel Washington.
Hawke will reunite with director Antoine Fuqua, who he and Washington worked with in 2001's Training Day.
Haley Bennett has already been announced as the female lead and Guardians of the Galaxy's Chris Pratt has also been cast.
The movie tells the story of a woman who hires seven gunfighters to protect her village from marauding bandits.
The 1960 MGM original was directed by John Sturges, starring Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen and Charles Bronson.
Roger Birnbaum is to produce the new film, which has been in the works since 2012.
