Based on the book by Claire Keegan, the Irish drama sees Murphy play devoted father Bill Furlong who, when he discovers a disturbing secret at the local convent, must confront his past and the complicit silence of people controlled by the Catholic Church.

You can also pre-order Small Things Like These on DVD and Blu-ray ahead of its release in the UK. Lionsgate has yet to confirm a release date for the physical release of the movie.

Following its release in November, Murphy addressed the somewhat abrupt ending of Small Things Like These, saying that it retained the "genius of the book" by not revealing what happens after Bill makes a stand.

"People have very different points of view and it's amazing to think about it, because it just unspools and unspools and unspools. And you don't know what it could possibly be," he said.
"It could be a positive or it could have an optimistic outlook or a pessimistic. You know what I mean? It's very interesting, but it also represents, I think, sort of the beginning of the loosening of that grip that the church had at the time."
