Jeremy Allen White has landed an unexpected new role in upcoming Star Wars film The Mandalorian & Grogu.
According to Variety, The Bear actor has landed a role voicing Jabba the Hutt’s son, Rotta the Hutt.
The character first appeared in The Clone Wars movie back in 2008, and again in The Clone Wars TV series.
While plot details remain scarce, The Mandalorian & Grogu will see Pedro Pascal reprise his role as the titular bounty hunter from The Mandalorian TV series as he continues adventuring in space with Grogu.

Sigourney Weaver also confirmed her involvement in the film earlier this summer, telling Deadline: "I’m playing a role in The Mandalorian & Grogu. I got to meet Grogu for the first time the other day.

The spin-off film was first announced by Disney in January, with The Mandalorian series creator Jon Favreau on board to co-write and and direct the project.
"I have loved telling stories set in the rich world that George Lucas created," Favreau said when the film was announced. "The prospect of bringing the Mandalorian and his apprentice Grogu to the big screen is extremely exciting."

Away from the Star Wars universe, Jeremy Allen White is set to play US music icon Bruce Springsteen in the upcoming biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere.
The film will centre on the recording of Springsteen's landmark 1982 solo album Nebraska, which director Scott Cooper previously said has "profoundly shaped" his "artistic vision".
Succession star Jeremy Strong will play Springsteen’s long-time mentor and manager Jon Landau, while Peaky Blinders star Stephen Graham has been cast has the singer's father.
The Mandalorian & Grogu movie due to be released in 2026. Deliver Me From Nowhere will be released in 2025.
