Wicked has been a box-office record-breaker and that shows no signs of slowing down at the moment.
We already knew we were getting Wicked: Part 2 as the two movies filmed at the same time, but the box-office result is confirmation that we'll get the full two-part adaptation of the musical.
So if you're heading to see Wicked this week, we wouldn't blame you for thinking that there was something after the credits to tease Wicked 2.
That's where we come in, with the definitive Wicked credit-scene guide with all you need to know, including how many post-credit scenes there are.
And don't worry, there are no spoilers ahead.
Does Wicked have a post-credit scene?
We can confirm that Wicked does not have any credits scenes to stick around for, either during or after the credits.
What to Read Next
So if you want to shave some time off that epic 160-minute runtime, then you can leave as soon as you see "to be continued" pop up on the screen. You would, however, miss out on hearing more of the movie's score.
It's perhaps not a surprise that we didn't get a Wicked credit scene as composer Stephen Schwartz has said that 'Defying Gravity' was part of the reason the adaptation was split into two.
"We found it very difficult to get past 'Defying Gravity' without a break. That song is written specifically to bring a curtain down, and whatever scene followed it without a break just seemed hugely anti-climactic," he explained in July 2022.
And if they thought continuing the story would be "hugely anti-climactic", then it stands to reason that any credit scene would have been equally disappointing after hearing 'Defying Gravity'.
There is one notable aspect of Wicked's credits though that you might notice.
Ariana Grande is credited with her full name, Ariana Grande-Butera, which she recently said is "little Ari's name". "I just feel like this experience was such a homecoming for me," she continued.
"I feel like I came home to myself in a lot of ways through what I learned from Glinda, from Elphaba and, you know, that was my name when I went to see the show when I was 10 years old – and it felt like a really lovely way of honouring that."
