Jeff Goldblum has extended a warm Jurassic World welcome to Scarlett Johansson, following her casting in the franchise’s next film.
Goldblum – who played Dr Ian Malcolm in 1993’s Jurassic Park and reprised the role for the first three Jurassic World movies – surprised Johansson with a pre-recorded video message during her appearance on US talk show Today earlier this week, where he congratulated the Marvel star on recently joining the cast of Jurassic World 4.
"Dr Johansson, this is Jeff Goldblum," he said. "Here’s what I want to say to you. This I know: Scarlett will find a way. Don’t get eaten, unless you want to."
Goldblum then blew a kiss, before concluding: "I love you."

"Oh my gosh, I can’t believe Jeff actually said that to me," Johansson said after the message played. "I mean, I think my life is complete now. I can retire now."
The actor officially confirmed her involvement in the film last month, telling ComicBook: "The script is so incredible. David Koepp wrote it. He returned after like 30 years to write the script. He's so passionate about it, which is so awesome."
