Luca Guadagnino's new movie After The Hunt has started pre-production, as a snap of the star-studded cast has been circulating on social media.
Not long after the success of Challengers, the Italian filmmaker has relocated to London together with stars Julia Roberts, Ayo Edebiri and Andrew Garfield to work on the hotly-anticipated moral thriller.
Edebiri took to her Instagram to share a group photo from the table read and a screenshot of her conversation with Guadagnino when he sent her the photo, revealing that he'd urged her to post the picture to her grid rather than to her Instagram Stories.

The ensemble, which also includes Guadagnino's collaborators Michael Stuhlbarg (Call Me By Your Name) and Chloë Sevigny (Bones and All), appear to already have their own inside jokes – including Edebiri adding the #notastory hashtag to her post.
For her part, Roberts commented with an unamused emoji, to which Edebiri replied with some heart-eyed and smiley faces.

Despite the light-hearted atmosphere on set, it seems that After the Hunt will deal with delicate subject matter revolving around Roberts' character.
The Erin Brockovich star plays a college professor who finds herself at a personal and professional crossroads when a star student makes an accusation against one of her colleagues. At the same time, she has to confront a dark secret about her own past.

Edebiri recently opened up about her experiences directing an episode of The Bear's third season, describing it as "a blast and an honour".
After The Hunt doesn't have a release date yet. The Bear season 1-3 airs on Hulu in the US and on Disney+ in the UK.
