Jeremy Renner is the latest name to join the star-studded cast of the upcoming Knives Out murder mystery from writer-director Rian Johnson.

Titled Wake Up Dead Man, the film is the third whodunit in the acclaimed film saga starring Daniel Craig as sleuth Benoit Blanc.

Eagle-eyed fans may remember that *technically* Renner has made a Knives Out appearance before in second film Glass Onion, where he was the face of a fictional brand of hot sauce.

"I relive it every night," he told the Los Angeles Times earlier this month. "It's in my visions. It's in my dreams and my waking thoughts."

Renner returned to work in January 2024 to reprise the role of Mike McLusky in the second season of Paramount+ crime drama Mayor of Kingstown. The series is about to debut new episodes, with season 3 expected to drop on the streaming platform on June 2.
