DC's upcoming Supergirl movie starring House of the Dragon's Milly Alcock has received an official release date.
According to Deadline, fans can now mark their calendars as the Craig Gillespie-directed blockbuster is scheduled to fly into cinemas on June 26, 2026.
The confirmation comes shortly after it was announced that Supergirl, which will be based on the comic book series Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, is set to kick off filming later this year, after production on James Gunn's Superman: Legacy concludes.

The upcoming film will follow Kara Zor-El as she wreaks vengeance on planet-destroying aliens.
"Superman is a guy sent to Earth and raised by loving parents, where Supergirl in this story, she is a character raised on a chunk of Krypton," Gunn previously explained on X/formerly Twitter.
"She watched everybody around her perish in some terrible way, so she's a much more jaded character."
There has been speculation that Supergirl could first appear in Gunn's Superman: Legacy, which will star David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan as the next Man of Steel and Lois Lane, respectively.

Superman, which will not be an origin story, will follow a younger Clark Kent as he tries to find a balance between his Kryptonian heritage and his working life on Earth.
Supergirl is scheduled to release on June 26, 2026.
