A new Jurassic World sequel has just been announced — and there's a brand new LEGO set for the franchise too.

An unexpectedly timely release is the LEGO T-rex skull set from Jurassic World, where you can construct an exhibit that would be on display in one of InGen's research facilities.

This 577-piece LEGO model — which is made for older children and adults, aged 9 and up — features a buildable skull, fossilised footprint and information plaque for show.

The jaw of the T-rex is adjustable, so builders can display the monstrous dino with either an open or closed mouth.

When the LEGO T-rex skull is fully built, it will stand at 21cm (8in) high, 18cm (7in) wide and 16cm (6.5in) deep — with both digital instructions and a printed booklet available for ease of use.

You can order the LEGO Dinosaur Fossils: T-rex Skull set for £34.99 in the UK or $39.99 in the US. In both countries, there is a limit of five per purchase.

This set arrives on the heels of the big news that Universal Pictures is already deep into development on the next instalment of the Jurassic World film series.

Producers Steven Spielberg and Frank Marshall are reuniting with Jurassic Park co-writer David Koepp on the sequel, which is described as an all-new saga for the franchise.
