Star Wars actress Daisy Ridley has revealed the storyline for her upcoming Rey movie isn't what she expected.
Speaking to Collider about the project, which was announced earlier this year during Star Wars Celebration, the actress teased what fans can expect from Rey's next adventure.
"I'm very excited. The story is really cool. I'm waiting to read a script because, obviously, I don't have any other updates. It's not what I expected, but I'm very excited," Ridley said.

While Ridley didn't go into details about the film's plot or if it would be a standalone or part of a new trilogy, she promised fans would be thrilled by the project.
"So far, I know the story of one film, and I think people will be very excited," she teased.

Ridley made her debut as Rey in the first film in the sci-fi franchise's sequel trilogy, 2015's Star Wars: The Force Awakens. 2019's The Rise of Skywalker was her most recent outing in the role.
The upcoming Rey movie is set to take place 15 years after the events of The Rise of Skywalker and will reportedly see Rey build a new Jedi Order.
Ms Marvel's Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy is currently signed on to direct the feature.

This isn't the only recent tease from Ridley, as she also promised that Rey's new story is "worth exploring".
"I haven't read anything, but I know the story. It's really worth telling, worth exploring," she told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview published earlier this week.
Ridley will next be seen in The Marsh King's Daughter and the rom-com Sometimes I Think About Dying. She's also currently filming the action movie Cleaner and recently joined the survival thriller We Bury the Dead.
