Indiana Jones 5 has revealed its first look at The Sandman star Boyd Holbrook.

The actor, who stars as Corinthian in the Netflix show, will play Klaber, a "nefarious" sidekick to Mads Mikkelsen's main villain, in the latest instalment in the franchise.

Empire Magazine released the first images of the character on their Instagram account, with the photo showing Holbrook on a bike in a "major set-piece [which] takes place in the New York ticker tape parade thrown for the Apollo 11 astronauts".

Holbrook, who has also appeared in Narcos and Logan, described his character as "a lapdog to Mads, and a crazy one at that". When announcing his character yesterday (November 19), Mikkelsen described his character, Voller, as "a man who would like to correct some of the mistakes of the past".

The actor, who has played villainous roles in Hannibal and Casino Royale, added: "There is something that could make the world a much better place to live in. He would love to get his hands on it. Indiana Jones wants to get his hands on it as well. And so, we have a story."

Speaking about his return, which is set to be his final appearance as the iconic adventurer, Ford said: "I just thought it would be nice to see one where Indiana Jones was at the end of his journey. It became really important to me to figure out how to make this a movie about a hero at sunset.

"It's full of adventure, full of laughs, full of real emotion. And it's complex and it's sneaky. The shooting of it was tough and long and arduous. But I'm very happy with the film that we have."

Indiana Jones 5 is scheduled for release on June 23, 2023.
