What to Read Next

Longtime MCU fans will remember Star-Lord mentioned in the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie that he idolised the Footloose star, referring to him as a "legend" of the planet earth.

Drax and Mantis will turn up to Bacon's Hollywood mansion determined to bring him back to the Milano for the holidays, though the actor himself is far from keen!

Director James Gunn has also promised that the Holiday Special will feature an appearance from an important character to the MCU as Cosmo the Spacedog makes his long-awaited return!

The Holiday Special isn't just a silly excuse to bring Kevin Bacon officially into the MCU — as Gunn has also confirmed it will fill in gaps between the events of Thor: Love and Thunder and Guardians of the Galaxy vol 3.

"Although the Holiday Special is a standalone story, it contains a lot of fun new facts about what the Guardians have been up to for all these years," he recently said.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1 and Vol 2 are available now. The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is coming to Disney+ on November 25, 2022, and then Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 arrives on May 5, 2023.
