Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt made a brief appearance as Star-Lord in the latest MCU film Thor: Love and Thunder, but that's not the last we'll see of him.
Star-Lord (aka Peter Quill) and his teammates are set to return to screens next year in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, but many fans are wondering what will happen to the collective of space-dwelling superheroes beyond the threequel.
Chatting about the upcoming movie, Pratt suggested it could be the final outing for his character.

Reflecting on the moment the film's trailer was played at San Diego Comic-Con, the actor told ExtraTV: "The music started playing, I was just a wreck, immediately it hit me… The reality that the movie that we made looks extraordinary, we get to share it with the world.
"How exciting. Also, 'Oh now, I think this is coming to an end'. You got to face it with gratitude," he said.
When asked if he'll ever be back in the MCU, Pratt quipped: "I don't know. I hope so. If not, you can always just follow me on Instagram."

"There are no plans for that right now," the Marvel star explained. "I think anything is possible, anything is possible.
"There's multiverse thing. I'm not saying I am, but if a character gets killed… Actually, turns out there are, like, crazy wormholes to bring people back."
Looking back at his time playing Star-Lord so far, Pratt insisted it's been an "honour" and career highlight for him.

Despite Pratt and Comic-Con attendees getting a sneak peek at the trailer for the third Guardians of the Galaxy film, it's not yet officially been released to the public.
Earlier this week, director James Gunn took to Twitter to explain the footage wasn't ready to be launched as some of the visual effects still need to be tweaked.
"Although I love the teaser some VFX aren't where I'd want them to be for repeated views & close inspection - remember we didn't wrap long ago - so you'll have to wait just a beat! Sorry!" he wrote.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1 and Vol 2 are available now. The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is coming to Disney+ later this year, and then Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 arrives on May 5, 2023.
