Disney's Beauty and the Beast is getting a 30th anniversary special to celebrate the classic tale.
Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration will air on ABC on December 15, before becoming available on Disney+ the next day.
According to Deadline, the tribute will incorporate live never-before-seen sets and costumes inspired by the original fairytale. Songs from the animated classic will also be performed in front of a live audience at Disney Studios.

Executive producer Jon M Chu explained why he wanted to work on the special.
"When the animated movie came out, I watched it multiple times in the first weekend," he said. "It showed me the outer limits of what animated artists and storytellers could achieve, so the fact that I get to executive produce a tribute to all the creatives that made this masterpiece is a dream I didn’t even think was possible.
"With world-class creatives and talent to reinterpret the classic musical numbers (with a few surprises), I can’t wait for the audiences, in person and at home, to experience what we have in store for them. It’s a true celebration of creativity."

A live-action remake of the classic tale came out in 2017 and starred Harry Potter's Emma Watson as the iconic Belle, alongside Luke Evans as Gaston and Frozen's Josh Gad as his sidekick LeFou.
Disney+’s Beauty and the Beast prequel series, starring Evans and Gad is no longer progressing, so hopefully this special celebration of the original will fill the void.
Beauty and the Beast and the live-action remake are available to stream on Disney+.
