Jeff Goldblum has revealed The Grandmaster will not be returning in Thor: Love and Thunder.
Speaking to Esquire, Goldblum gave the most Goldblum answer when asked if he will be appearing in Chris Hemsworth's fourth Thor adventure.
"Am I going to be in Love and Thunder? The truth is, and I can say it now because the trailer has come out, I appear in it," the Jurassic Park legend joked. "It's my most challenging role to date, and I believe my highest accomplished. I'm not seen, visually. You never see me. And you don't hear me.
"Nor am I referred to, I believe, in any scene. I am sensed, only vibrationally, It's up to the viewer to pick up on that… But you will feel something. And that will be me," he added.

Despite saying it, we do know Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige likes to keep surprises incredibly secret, but it's likely in this case to be true as there's no need for The Grandmaster to appear.

While we may not see Thor Ragnarok's Grandmaster or Tom Hiddleston's Loki, we will see the return of Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) as The Mighty Thor and Lady Sif (Jaimie Alexander), who hasn't appeared alongside the God of Thunder since 2013's Thor: The Dark World.
Another character returning to Love and Thunder will be Tessa Thompson as King Valkyrie and most of the Guardians of the Galaxy cast before seeing them again in Volume 3.

Elsewhere, Christian Bale is making his debut in the MCU as the villainous Gorr the God Butcher and is joined by fellow debutant Russell Crowe as Zeus.
What's for certain is UK Marvel film fans will be able to see Love and Thunder a day before the US on July 7.
Thor: Love and Thunder has a release date of July 7 in the UK and July 8 in the US. The other three Thor movies are available to stream now on Disney+.
