In an exclusive chat with Digital Spy, the Claire Dearing star recalled how she first reacted to being in the same vicinity as these legacy legends on set.
"I was secretly filming their interactions when we were all in the same scene together.

"The first time for me was when we were under the wing of the plane and it's a scene that takes place at the end of the movie, so it's very eventful. I was just freaking out, 'We're here, we're here!'" she laughed.
DeWanda Wise, better known as Kayla Watts in Dominion, also said of that momentous day: "I remember every single beat of it. It was epic. It was raining when it was happening, so there was something about the atmosphere.

Meanwhile, the returning Ellie Sattler herself Dern explained to DS how she found her character again, almost three decades on from her last portrayal.
"I really [thought] about who she is today. With her knowledge of a previous extinction on our planet and the wisdom she has in paleontology paleobotany, what would she do, as her children are grown, with her time and her life?
"Focusing on climate change, soil science and regenerative farming, stopping corporate greed and industrial farming, that's exactly where we'd want Dr Ellie Sattler today. The idea of stepping into those shoes, or hiking boots, was really, really exciting to me," she shared.
