Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special spoilers follow.
It looks like the Guardians of the Galaxy will be meeting up with one of their furry friends in their Disney+ Holiday Special.
James Gunn is currently on the final stretch of filming GOTG vol 3 and the Holiday Special back to back, with work on the festive one-off TV episode having wrapped up earlier in the week.
On his social media, the director shared a fun wrap gift that the crew had made for him – festive ornaments featuring several of the characters confirmed to be appearing in the Holiday Special, like Star-Lord, Groot, Rocket, Nebula, Mantis and Kraglin.

Another of the ornaments features the bestest boy in all of the galaxy – Cosmo the Spacedog! The Golden Retriever has popped up in previous Guardians projects as well as the What If…? Series.

Gunn has previously hinted that the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will introduce "one of the greatest MCU characters of all time" – and many are guessing he means Santa Clause because, yes, Father Christmas is also a superhero in the Marvel Universe!

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1 and Vol 2 are available now. The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is coming to Disney+ later this year, and then Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 arrives on May 5, 2023.
